The Educational Technology Department, or ‘Ed Tech’, as it is commonly known, has a mission statement which reads;
“To partner ADWC stakeholders in order to implement innovative and relevant educational solutions through effective use of technology”.

The Educational Technology Department at ADW comprises two full-time Educational Technologists - Web developers, and a team of faculty “Educational Technologists”.

Through a structured project management cycle, Ed Tech collaborates with Deans of Instructions, Department Chairs, Academic Coordinators and faculty teams to;

  • Promote the pedagogical aspects of e-learning.
  • Assist in the instructional design, development and use of online materials for blended course delivery.
  • Research and recommend technologies to support teaching/ learning in the different departments.
  • Provide a comprehensive professional development program to support the implementation of new technologies.
  • Provide support for online applications development of administrative and portal systems.
  • Ed Tech liaises closely with the campus Technical Services Department (TSD), to ensure the required balance between innovative technologies, available resources and network infrastructure, is achieved to meet the growing demands of e-learning at the college. /li>

ADW management recognizes the importance of quality e-learning and educational technology development, and places high priority in ensuring that Department and Ed Tech e-learning initiatives are aligned with the College Strategic plan.
